EAMCET 2009 in May second week
The Department of Technical Education in Andhra Pradesh, announced that the Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Examination (EAMCET) 2009 will be held in the second week of May. EAMCET is mandatory for the admission to Engineering and Medical courses in Andhra Pradesh.
While the exact date is not yet announced, the examination will be held after 10-May-2009. This year onwards, the Intermediate (10+2) score will have a weightage in the EAMCET ranking and the Second Year Intermediate hall ticket is mandatory for appearing for the EAMCET 2009. So, the examination will have to be conducted in tandem with the Intermediate Examinations in Andhra Pradesh. As per the current schedule, Intermediate exams will start on 04-Mar-2009 and end on 24-Mar-2009. The Intermediate examination results are expected to be out ny 25-Apr-2009

The Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) announces the Women Scientist Scholarship Scheme. Through this scheme, the Department of Science & Technology encourages the women working in the latest scientific and technological inventions.
Eligibility
Education: MSc, PhD, BTech, MTech, MBBS, MS, MD, MVSc, BPharm or any other science or engineering professional degree
Indian Women, Age below 50 years
Preference will be given to women with research experience
