India Post has started a new service called "Proof Of Address Card"

As we know, address proof is required for many transactions in our daily routine. India Post's Proof Of Address Card serves all these purposes as an official address proof document.

How To Apply
1. Candidates can apply for a Post Office Address Proof card in any post offices on the specified application form (10/-)
2. Submit the application, along with a service fee of 240/-
3. Your local post man will verify your address & stay
4. After successful verification, the post office issues a printed address prroff card which contains the Address, Photo, Contact Details, Blood Group, Date of Birth, Signature.

iMO - India Post's Instant Money Order

Indian Postal Department has started a new service called iMO (Instant Money Order)

iMO is an instant web based on-line money transfer service that gives speed, mobility, safety and reliability for your money transfer.

Customers can transfer money from INR 1,000/- to INR 50,000/- from designated iMO Post Offices in India

iMO office will pay the amounts upto 20,000 in cash and above 20,000 through cheques

How iMO works:
1. The sender remits the money in an iMO counter and collect his "16 digit iMO number" in a sealed condition.
2. The sender has to communicate this number to the receiver through his own means (SMS/Mail/Call)
3. The receiver goes to his local iMO counter and present the "16 digit iMO number" along with a photo ID card, to collect his money

Post office will charge a commission of 150 to 330/- for the transaction.

Tamilnadu - Rail Cum Road Tour

Tamilnadu Tourism conducts a rail cum road tour which covers Mamallapuram, Kodaikanal, Thanjavur, Rameswaram & Kanniyakumari

The tour will start & end from Chennai central and includes Balaji Darshan at Tirupati.

The tariff for the same will be 12,100/- per adult for Non-AC travel (for 2nd A.C. it will be 18,100/-)
