The Center for Social Research (CSR) and the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) started a new initiative to nurture leadership aspirations in women in India.
Over the past decades, women were vastly underrepresented in Indian political decision-making bodies. Though there were symbolic representations at various levels of legislature, the women were shadowed by their male partners, who held the power & decision making.
So, CSR & UNDEF started a new course & website to empower Indian women with their rights and equip them with confidence, determination, and skill to lead.
The new course, "Certificate Program in Leadership and Democracy" is a 7 modules course and covers the basic elements of political participation, gender, and leadership.
