Indian Government has made Employment Exchanges Act, 1959 (Compulsory Notification of Vacancies) to help unemployed youth to secure jobs in their neighborhood. There are about a 1000 Employment Exchanges across the country. Day to day administration of the Employment Exchanges is with the State/UT Governments.
These Employment Exchanges set up National Employment Service. Through this, citizens can register their names in the Employment Exchange.
Till recently, the registration was done at the Employment Exchange. Now, there is a web interface available to register online with the Employment Exchanges.

It will take us to a page where Candidate has to select the State , District and Exchange of Place of Residence to get registered in that exchange
